    Just wondering if the passenger and driver's seat has the same bottom(idk the correct term, part u sit on though haha) cover? Mine is tore up and was thinking if I could pick up a pass. side seat and just pull the cover and swap it to my drivers seat. Interior is 2000 1.8t, Thanks for any help

    i'm almost positive you can. there are slits and holes covered by some trim pieces that you can work around. invest in some hog ring pliers or else you are fucked.

    I have two, one straight one and another 45* one. You'll be in a world of pain if you don't pick some up.

    I think they're $9-10 at a Napa or intelligent parts store.

    you can buy a new seat bottom cover from the dealer for just over $100 btw....

    Yeah, I have one set of hog ring pliers, no angled ones though. Depending on how much of a bitch it is I may just bring it somewhere to get switched.

    Hmm, never thought about the dealer, doesn't sound bad i'm just worried that the padding might be gone since the split has been spreading and i would imagine it is starting to take a toll on the padding. Find out when I pull it out i guess. have you gotten one form the dealer? has to be ordered assuming?

    i took my cover off to repair a tear. took me like 3 hours to dissasemble the seat, take off the cover, patch the tear, and reassemble.
