Re: S6 Drl led on DTM front bumper

i thought it wasnt possible because of the size of the side mount grills. because it is too small. but if u do it i'd be down to add some more leds to my car ;)

ur right but with a little modification i think it can be done. i would take pictures to show but its in my garage in SF and im in Portland right now. if it doesnt work ill just end up selling the leds. i was hoping to be the first to do it but im sure someone has done/tried it.

Re: S6 Drl led on DTM front bumper

btw just found someone, AZ'er Grassmonkey had a picture of a dtm bumper with S6 leds.

looks like the only problem retrofitting is that the FMIC piping gets the way (if you want/have one)

search 1sicknickel, he was going to do it (copy my stylo =x) but a lot of cutting had to be done, but if you dont mind (most do) you can do it.

s6 leds are awesome, I wish i could do that =)

Re: S6 Drl led on DTM front bumper

I've looked into doing this, the S6 LED's are in my shed.
To get them to fit you need to cut the sweeping ends off where there are no LEDs.
Secondly if you have a 2.0T your severly restricting flow to the DSMIC, and FMIC piping gets in the way, maybe the VF chargecooler may work well with this.

THe reasson however why Ive completly stopped for the moment is that I'm seeing LED strips on some seriously cheap ass cars. They're popular in the Netherlands with the civic/rice/cheap ass cars community and I wont be degrading my car to that level.

Re: S6 Drl led on DTM front

    Oh.....it's been done.

And been done without severely reducing airflow, without a performance hit, well integrated into the bumper, and without cutting the ends of the LEDs....
