    Are there non-adjustable Koni shocks

Ok well I'm looking at some used Koni shocks that I found on craigslist. They guy doesnt know whether or not they are adjustable Koni shocks or not.

So my questions is did Koni make shocks for a Audi A4 that where non-adjustable. Everything I read on the forum here was about adjusable Koni shocks.

What does the "adjustment" part of the shock look like, so maybe I can tell the guy what to look for.
I do work around the South East on your 1.8t or 2.7t, PM for more info

I have never heard of non adjustable Koni's. If they are adjustable, there will be threads all along the body of the shock to set the preload.

    What color are they?
If they're red or yellow they're damping adjustable.
KONI's new orange STR.T line is non damping adjustable, but comes only as a spring/shock combination.

technically it's rebound adjustable. According to Koni's site, only the Sports were available (yellow body).

For other cars, FSD's were non-adjustable, gold body

They are yellow, so that means they are rebound adjustable, right?

    yes.

Unfortunately, in order to adjust them, you need to remove the shocks from the car.

Ok well I'm supposed to go look at some Koni shocks w/ H&R race springs this weekend for $350. Sound like a good deal?

Re: Are there non-adjustable Koni shocks

The shocks can be rebuilt by Koni, so yes.

The adjustable part is a small turn knob on the top of the shock body, you can only move it 1/4 turn due to the design. You have to stick an allen or such in and turn it one way or the other. You'll know it when you see it. It took me a long time to figure that out.
