Just picked up a B6 S4, need help with wheel/tire options!

Okay, so I have this beautiful new Nogaro Blue 2005 B6 6-spd S4. It has the stock 18s with Hankook ZR18 summer tires on it. They're not too hot in the snow.

As a result, I'm looking for a set of winter tires and/or wheels. I have a set of winter tires+wheels that went on my old car, a 2001 BMW 330i Sport. However, those rims are staggered, and I don't think they'll fit the Audi... would theY?

My question is, do 17" wheels fit on an S4? Or is 18" the smallest?

Not sure if they'll fit as far as offsets are concerned. But I do know that Tirerack recommends 17's for winter. I just recently purchased 18" winter tires and I'm going to make my OE wheels my winter set.

Here's another question then... 235/40/18 is the stock size on my car, but I found a set of studded Nokian snow tires in 235/50/18. They're a little bit taller, but would they fit on those stock rims, and on my car?

welp.... more important things to worry about now :(

I've owned the car less than 48 hours :( her fault, she didn't look when pulling out of an Arctic Circle and slammed right into me. Geico (her ins.) is being great, car goes in to the shop on Wednesday and they're giving me a rental, but I'm going to see if they'll work with me on getting some different wheels. I can't imagine those factory wheels are cheap to replace and I don't like the way they look anyway, so maybe they'll give me the money it'd cost to replace it and let me buy something else.
