I'm not a pro, but besides good welding, what can go wrong with a TP? they all look the same to me

yeah the welds look awesome and the step up is nice, worried about fitment too.

YES go with the 034 TP!! I love mine, fits good and got good sound from it. Combine with a Neuspeed Exhaust and you'll love it too.

then you realize you get what you pay for.. its better just to buy the nicer one in the first place than to be disapointed with what you got and end up buying the nicer one any way

yeah, but the bottleneck would be further away giving the turbo a little more room to breathe

Further away as in 1". ebay pipe is also 3" and then some 1" before it mates to down pipe gradually reduces to 2.5" thus not creating any turbulence/pulses in exhaust gases.

Absolutely, but only about 2% people on AZ have full 3" exhaust since there's no of the shelf 3" exhaust

not yet but once i do timing belt and water pump.. im gonna take a ride to 034 and prolly have them do a custom 3"...maintinence always comes first!

Until then this is how your test pipe to down pipe looks like (top = eBay to 2.5" down pipe, Bottom = 034 to 2.5" down pipe)..

2.5" side is the down pipe side, seller that wrote that is an idiot

Correct. Their discription is saying that it has a 2.5" inlet at the back of the turbo and then 3" the rest of the way. Problem is that their discription does not match the TP in the picture seeing that the straight end of the TP bolts to the turbo and the curved end bolts to the TP. I guess this is what happens when someone does the write-up for the product that has no clue what they are looking at or talking about.


Basically that TP just looks like some cheap knock off of a ER test pipe and for that price most likely made in some other country.

If this is in fact the case, based on what I remember from fluid dynamics, the eBay TP would be far superior to the 034 TP (less of a pressure loss at the transition vs. the sharp corner).

Exactly my point. Unless you're going to full 3" exhaust 034 TP is actually lot worse for the exhaust flow. Even with the 3" system 034 is no good since it uses studs at the down pipe and there will absolutely be no room for the nuts on the down pipe side.
Custom 3" exhaust are always turbo back and not test pipe back.

^^^ Thank you! Unless youre gonna go with a BT soon? I have an EBAY Jeff Lee test pipe, bought it for the same $89 and its been a yr now trouble free. Dont get into all the hype of testpipes. UNLESS YOURE GOIN BT SOON!

I have the 034 tp -- neuspeed full exhaust. I don't seem to have any problems that i know of. And thats with a Ko4 too. My setup works good i think?

Neuspeed is 60mm which is only 2.3".
