    Any thoughts...?

I can get one for really cheap, mileage isn't bad either, full service history from the stealer as well.

Want to put my 1.8T stroker build into it, as we never got the 1.8T Quattro here in SA.

Well, from what i understand, that tranny is the better one out of the 1.8T and 2.8L series A4's. 1.8T guys have swap'd that 2.8L tranny to their engine as an upgrade, so your good there. Other than that just remember that your going to need an all new wire harness and ECU if u dont have it already. And lol, just remember to buy suspention parts for the '2.8L Quattro' and not the '1.8T'! haha.

Yeah, it's a 6 speed and not the 5 speed. Ride is MUCH harder than my 1.8T, car is pretty quick as well. No comparison in handling due to Quattro. It's silver at the moment, but i'll probably have it resprayed at some point, as well as a cage put in. Maybe i should just twin turbo the V6 instead.

TBH, tackling the wiring harness is a bitch and if you do the 2.7T swap instead it will probably be a simple drop-in situation. The wiring harness should work for it.. if I'm wrong, somebody chime in please.

    Your 2.8 is a 6 speed?

6 speed indeed. Was a limited edition here in 1998, only 100 of them or something. Makes the stock 2.8 of the same year look stupid when it comes to performance. I was thinking of dropping in the 2.7TT from an Allroad.
