Audi TT radio question

Hi.
I just purchased a 2001 Audi tt. It only came with the valet key, which means I'm locked out of the glove box, which means no manual. I'm trying to manually tune my radio so that I can use my ipod. Can anyone tell me which button to push to manually select an empty station?

thats fu(ed up, where did you buy they car? make sure you get a key made up at your dealer

I live 90 miles from the nearest Audi dealership and I plan on getting a key made as soon as I can get a day off during the week to get there. I was going to go today, but the parts department is closed on the weekends! Bummer bout that. So any suggestions on the radio question? I bought the car off of craigslist from a private party. I got a decent deal, so I'm happy to deal with little issues like no KEYS AND MANUAL!

I would suggest to call them first to see if they cut keys on the spot or have to order them. we usually have to order the key pre-cut down in miami.

Ok, will do. Thanks for the headsup. I'd hate to drive (no I wouldn't!) all the way down there for nothing!

I tried holding down the buttons, but nothing worked! I'm stumped.

the only thing i can think of is holding the seek button

you can use a tape adapter for your iPod if you can't find it out

more tt owners should be helping on this forum, i bet many of them have the same radio. (i only have an a4)

Well, I did decide to get the tape adapter for the time being. I also hooked up the ipod to one of the preset stations and it did work. I still cant figure out the manual tuning but I suppose when I buy the new key and get the manual (hopefully) out of the glove box, I'll be able to read all about my new to me car! Thanks to everyone that posted.

If you hold down the scan or seek button long enough (I'm out of town and can't check) the radio beeps and is in manual. SUbsequent depressions of the button will advance it a few kilocycles at a time.
