Warranty start question?

If I bought my new 07 A4 in May of 2008, when does the warranty period begin? The date of purchase? Or how do they choose the start date based on the year of the vehicle? I just assumed it would start the day I paid for the car.

The warranty starts the day the vehicle is purchased. Usually, this is printed towards the beginning of the owner's manual.

that is correct. you can also call the dealership, and give them your vin, and they should be able to tell you.

Yea that's the reason I was curious...nothing is printed in the manual. Ill have to call in. Thanks for the info.

man, for a second i thought you would get flamed for this.

but the above are correct and if you have extended warranty, it starts the same day you purchase your car as well.
