My audi died on me

hey guys i need some help over here, i was driving on the highway when all of the sudden the car started to hesitate, loss of power, stalling and then it just shut off. What the hell could it be? I have apr1, and just put magnaflow exhaust and new rear brakes on the car the day before. Could it be coil packs?or fuel pump..any help appreciated!

doesnt start again? try turning it to the ON position without starting it and see if you can hear the fuel pump start up.

no lights came on the dash at any time, I listened to the fuel pump couldnt hear much but it smells like gas ...
where's the fuel pump relay?
Could it be timing belt? i have 86k miles in the car

Get to VAGCOM it and avoid to drive it. Actually dont drive it at all till you find out whats going on. if its timing belt related, I think you would experience much worse things than described. It sounds like fuel supply was cut or something.

Sounds like fuel pump to me. Had the exact same symptoms, Mine went out at 65k on the clock.

Same for me. No codes just died. Try tapping on the fuel pump. If t fires off then dies, that's likely it

sounds exactly like what happened to me as well. was driving, car just shuts off, no warning, no nothing and couldn't get it started again.

Actually, that's not a bad hypothesis. Perhaps a hose blew off or you have a big boost leak, that could definitely cause the car to die.

thanks for your help everyone, I was gonna go get coil packs tmrw, but seems like its a fuel pump, i shell do some testing tomorrow.

does ur car turn on at all? motor turns over? if not , likely fuel pump, which u replace it, go for the metal propelor one, if ur car does turn over.. and shudders like mad.. prolly coils, goodluck

metal impellar fuel pump? are ou sure you dont have it mixed up with the water pump?

EDIT: wait...no warning or CEL lights? Probably a fuel issue then...
