Still fighting with Rubens to get my money back after his poor quality work. It has been since the end of the summer and I am still out all that money. I ended up having Blouch rebuild them after they failed from Audspeed, installed them myself, again, and the car is running strong and perfect, like it should. This guy has been terrible to work with, and an outright liar who makes up stories of why something went wrong so he can pocket the money and walk away. By the way, he always claims that he has proof it was my fault that they failed, but the guy who is "Borg-Warner Certified" is the guy who did the work in the first place to balance them, not to mention a "personal friend" of Rubens, as he told me. I have the letter from Blouch Turbo stating why they failed, and if anyone doesn't believe me and wants to see it, just ask, I'll post it up. Who do you think is a more credible source? Rubens's friend or Blouch Turbo, and non-biased shop? Here is what happened: After sending my turbos to Rubens at Audspeed, he installed new CHRA's and was SUPPOSED to install new K16 compressor wheels, and he may deny it, but why did he charge me for the new wheels then? Anyways, not 30 seconds after installation, they failed. No from oil starvation, or anything else, purely because they were not balanced correctly. He reused the old compressor wheels, and filed down the edges to try and cover up the marks that were on them. After BLOUCH analyzed them and said it was due to improper balancing job, Rubens still refused to refund my money. I am currently pursuing gettign my money back through the credit card company, as it is the last resort. I tried to work it out with him, but he is unwilling to rational, and runs a poor business. Yeah, I noticed that too, but at least I have their opinion so I have something to shut Audspeed up...I hate how he has no regard for service and just thinks he has no responsibility for the products he sells.

And what's your response to you using used parts and trying to cover up damage, verified by a third party?

Rubens, here is the thing. This "Borg Warner Warranty Claim" that you have was inspected by the guy that machined them in the first place, and who didn't balance them correctly, so I think that your "Warranty Claim" is bogus, since even though he is a borg warner authorized technician, he is biased because he is the one that originally screwed them up, so yeah he is gonna say it was my fault. By the way, just because it says borg warner on it doesn't mean your source is right, mine is a third party non-biased shop that has been in the business way longer than you...Also, how about you post up this evidence since you stand so firmly behind it? I think we would all like to see you walk rather than just talk. And, how come you keep ignoring the question of why you charged me for new wheels and reused the old ones while covering up the damage? Please answer...

Yeah man, glad it helped you. Definately stay away. Reading all of my threads doesn't even give you half of what I've had to put up with through this fool. He is a complete scammer. I wouldn't buy anything that he or his machinist has touched.

Exactly, he keeps avoiding all the questions. After they failed instantly, despite thinking he was wrong, I followed his instructions to drive the car for 100 miles to see if the noise went away. Long story short, as I expected, it didn't go away. He never balanced them. I pulled the motor back out, sent them back to him and he gave me 5-6 reasons why they failed, the final being "excessive engine torque on the driver side bank"...yeah, no such thing as that. As for the covering up stuff, he still hasn't responded to why he did that while still charging me for new parts...? I hope everyone can see how much of a dishonest guy this guy is...

wow I am so glad I looked at this thread..I was gonna go with them on my RS6 turbos to save a few hundred bucks..think I'll spend the extra and go with JHM or something else.

There is a shady character like this up in ottawa who ended up suing one of his unhappy customers for libel havnt heard either way, but i dont believe the case was going to be successful..

Anyhow. This ****** would come onto threads like this and completly deny everything. Even though most of us KNEW he was a fucking liar, he would still try to make it look like he was the innocent party.

Wow, thank you to everyone. I am glad that this thread is actually making a difference to people. I would hate to see anyone get screwed like I did. Anyways, not sure on RS6's, but the price for Audspeed to rebuild my K04/997 turbos was about $1100, whereas Blouch was about $1800. A bit more, but not sure how much it would be considering parts, labor, etc. Give them a call. Anyways, bottom line is that Blouch is worth the money. Look at what I got out of Audspeed. A $1100 paper weight and high blood pressure. I mean for gods sake, Rubens from Audspeed PAINTED the housings rather than glass beading them like Blouch does. They just LOOKED like a joke, just like they operated. My rebuilds from Blouch are running strong to this day, and have had no problems. Plus, the guys at Blouch speak in connected sentences and actually know what they are talking about, rather than making up fake reasons why something failed.

Exactly what Rubens from Audspeed is doing...if only you guys had heard the phone conversations with this guy trying to make excuses why his *(#% didn't work...now he tries to look like the nice, innocent guy while he tries to screw me out of $1100....

Well, as a hopefully final update, the credit card company ruled in my favor. It just goes to show what a liar this guy is, even paypal and the credit card company didn't believe his lies. Anyways, hopefully this is proof enough for everyone to stay away from him.
