    5ohm
my preference 2 10ohm in parallel. radio shack 1/4wt work great. once the light is on you have to clear it with a VAG, it will not go away when corrected.

What airbag do you have disconnected? The seats?

Failed ohms law did we? R=1/(1/R1)+(1/R2)

two 10ohm resistors in parallel is 5 ohms, not 50.

unless you meant 100ohms then you are bang on.

Re: already STFA, and got an airbag light, how to fix..

I have an airbag light on as well. Marc sold me a fucking new airbag module that he swore would work after I sent him codes from the vag readings.

Hundreds of dollars later, my airbag light is still there, and now Marc is conveniently gone from my reach. I'd like to know more about this resistor trick.

Oh, and if anyone ACTUALLY NEEDS a new airbag module, buy mine.

Recaro sells resistors and harness that plugs directly into the wiring harness of the car. Try contacting Ian at speedwaremotorsports.com

My airbag light came on recently and I was told that it had to do w/ the the middle seatbelt in the back seat... they've tried to clear it w/ VAG and it will not clear

Re: already STFA, and got an airbag light, how to fix..

So after my first post in this thread, I had an angry Marc decide to e-mail me with a sack full of nice words to say to me. I figured that he'd want to try and come up with a resolution with me in exchange for him doing the right thing and me posting up a good review on his service, but nah.

So the "new" airbag module that I bought that didn't work will not be refunded since Marc insists that I installed it, then had a new airbag code pop up (lol). I could have the shop owner (Rayveedub) chime in and personally testify that upon installation of the new unit, the airbag code immediately popped back up, but whatever. I won't get my money back either way. What pisses me off most is his ability to twist other's words into something he likes (i.e. something he can use to his advantage) /end rant.

So did this simple DIY work for you all?
