Dealer wanted $20 for the OEM Radio Security Code!!

so i was driving home last night, my engine light flashed and then stay lit. i then stopped by a local auto parts store and had them pull the code. sure enough it was cylinder 6 misfire; coil pack! i then stopped by the dealer to pick up a coil pack and ask the service people if they can give me the security code for my radio. i bought my car used and it didn't come with a radio code. i told the service consultant that the radio is already off the car and i just need the security code for it. he then walked me outside and told me that it's usually $56 for but he'll only charge me $20 if i ask for him when i come in and have it done. i can't believe that they actually want to charge me for, i thought it's free.

sounds like the guy is trying to make a buck on the side or something. why not call your salesman and ask him why the car didn't come with a security code for the radio?

BTW, what is the number to the dealer that you went to, and the sales guy's name. I'm willing to pay 20 for mine.
