Going to Black out emblems, want opinions.

Alright, My rear RS$ badge has arrived and the others are on their way. I am going to black out all my emblems and would like to know what everyone thinks would look best.

The car is a Sprint Blue RS$ with the Titanium package. I am thinking about going with a matte black for all the emblems as that's kinda the theme of the car. However, I know that badges look more factory with a gloss finish and I kinda like the looks like it wasn't modded look.

too many colours going on, theres no unifying theme... you have a glossy black front, dark grey wheels, matte black rear, black chrome style mirrors, matte black window trim, and chrome rings / badges... pick one and stick with it.

I think matte black looks way better than gloss and please don't just pain one. If you are painting one do the rest too. I don't think painting emblems and badges stands out on these cars. I think mine still look like that's how they came.

yep. i've never run darker then 35% and i've received 5 tint tickets in 8 years. 3 of them were the only reason i was stopped

John, we went through this before over on AW. I've seen several RS4's with this filler so I don't think that the dealer switched it out. However, I do like the look of the original RS4 filler and am gonna do away with the silver strips when I do the badges. I'm gonna paint the strips for the time being.

That's totally factory. The mirrors are a matte finish. Maybe the pic doesn't do them justice.

I think that I am trying to achieve the unity by doing the emblems.

I'd do black rings (gloss) in back for sure, but not sure about emblems. Any thought to all red emblems in back to go with tails? Get rid of silver in back altogether.

On front, maybe just leave as is -- silver rings and headlights. Not sure about black rings in front .... maybe.

FYI guys, if I were to do the emblems, they all (eventhe side ones) would get done the exact same color, which at this point would be flat black as my wheels are going to go that route as soon as I can get my hands on a set of the HRE Monoblocks.

If I decide not to go through with it, the emblems will be for sale. As it stands now, I purchased 2 sets of rear rings, so one will be avail for sale no matter what.

Uber Dave, I think that is exactly what I am going to do. I gonna leave the front rings chrome as they need to be seen. The rears and sides will go to black where they'll be seen but be subtle.
