    My Body Kit Scrapes...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I just purchased an Ultrasport Avant with a Body Kit on it. The dilemma though is my body kit scrapes lightly, but only when I'm backing out of the driveway.

I go as slow as I can when backing out, and I go at an angle as well. I'm still trying to find that perfect way to back out so that it doesn't scrape, but in the meantime, are there any economic solutions to my problem? I'm not looking to raise my car or lower my driveway as I have seen for responses on other website forums. I'm looking for a cheap way that works well. Any recommendations?

Park on the street? Take off the kit? Air-suspension? lol

Not sure what sort of answer you're looking for.

Have you tried laying down some 2x4's where the driveway meets the street? They work wonders with slammed cars. I used to have to drive on 2x4's just to get a jack to slide under my car. They did the trick.

that above is your only other alternative if you do not want to remove the bodykit (are you sure it isnt the stock ultrasport bumpers?), raise the car or lower you drive way.

Yeah, I use wood planks. I have a BMW E36 thats sitting on coils with a carbon fiber front lip spoiler. Planks, angle, and slow as you go.......
