Does your car beep at you?

Recently I have been experiencing this problem that the car would beep at me. The brake warning light at the instrument panel would also flash. Here are some scenerios that this problem has occurred.

- Happens on right turns only.
- Last year, this problem only occurred when I took a right turn quick (for example, tires were screeching, but the ESP hadn't kicked in yet).
- Recently, this problem has occurred even at very slow speed (for example, getting out of the driveway from stop).
- The car beeped at me, and the brake warning light flashed at me with the ESP on as well as with the ESP off.
- It normally beeped as I was exiting the turn (i.e. straightening the car out).

Does anyone know what caused this to beep and flash? Has anyone experience this problem before?

BTW, the car is 06 A4 2.0T quattro 6MT.

My car beeps at me when it needs gas, oil, coolant, or any type of fluid. I find it quite funny...it just goes BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP, as if its saying "Feed me f**ker!"

I was in the same situation you are in this past summer and I brought it in to the dealer and it ended up being that I was low on brake oil.

you can check your brake fluid. it is under the hood. if it is low top her off. if that isn't it I would check your connection to the brake pad sensor and make sure it is pushed in all the way. Check your pads also. if none of those are a problem I'd bring it in and see what they say. I have my light on but that is because I disconnected the sensor.

Brakes. My front brakes were shot when it started beeping and flashing at me when turning. Then it would continue beeping and flashing for as long as I drove the car. Its weird though because my brake pad warning light never turned on.

My car is doing the exact same thing. I just had it in for routine maint. and they didn't catch anything while in. What brake fluid do we use? I'm sure it's in the manual but unfortunately mine is 350 miles away

hummm... does your car have the number 53 on the doors and the hood? If yes I know what the problem is.

Thanks for the responses. I checked the brake pads last night, they look to have sufficient material left. So I checked the fluid. Well, it was way below the minimum line. So I topped it off. This morning, my B7 didn't beep at me anymore.

Sorry, my car does not have the base color to fit your Herbie theory. It seems like your car is a better match.
