Audi Navigation Plus Disc...

So my Audi Navigation Plus disc is scratched, unreadable (most of the time), and I don't know what to do. I purchased the vehicle with the disc scratched, knowing that there are ways around it to get another one.

I've seen that there are many different torrents that have the files. If I were to go down that path, what would I need to do? Would I want to look for a file that is .iso, .rar, etc... What should I look for? Then, how would I need to burn it? DVD+R, -R, etc... Since I didn't mess up the disc, it would be nice if I wouldn't have to pay the $200 + tax for a new disc. I'm sure not everyone does, I'm sure many people go down this path I'm asking about. Can anyone give me some advice, beating around the bush advice or specific advice works, just something to get me started down the right track.

look around ebay. you might be able to come across one cheap

Alright, I'll look into that. Any recommendations that wouldn't cost money? My vehicle is still under warranty, the 5 year 50,000 warranty, and I also have an extended one that lasts 10 years 100,000 miles. Would that cover the disc by chance? How about burning a torrent?

I don't think they will cover a cd for the navi. i'm not sure how burning it would work but i would think a DVD-R would do the trick if you can get the right file. If the navi doesn't play DVD's you might be able to get the CD to burn but I really don't know. it is worth a try.

You need to burn a Dual layer disc. I've done it for a friend who's disc got scratched. Go to the nav forum. Used to be navplus but now I think it has changed to audiforums.us

I've just decided to skip the hassle and purchase one off ebay or off the classifieds we have on these forums. Thanks for all your help though!
