I wanna take my passenger seat off to do some major cleaning along with some other things. How can I take off the seat belt without cutting it.

    thanx

It's in the rail. You move the seat all the way back after you remove the covers that are like endcaps to the rails and the seat will come out. Just disconnect the airbag/heater wires (there a number of harnesses) and unbolt the seat belt from the inboard side.

Be careful when pulling the seats out, there is grease on the wheels and you can get it all over the carpet if you aren't careful.

EDIT disclaimer: This is how the B5 seats work. Maybe its different on a B6??

On the B6 it's easy, I've had my seats out a few times. There's a plastic cover where the belt goes in...remove that, and you'll see a little pressure clip on the belt. It just un-clips and comes right out...easy.

As said above, there's a few plugs underneath... Also, If you turn the ignition on with a seat out, it'll throw an abs code and you'll need a vagcom to clear it.

go onto FOTKI.com and then search avanteix. He has a whole writeup of how to remove the seats and installing them.

    Good Luck
