    exhaust noob question(s)...

what's the big difference between S4 and RS4 systems?
    and...
what's causes the big difference between the stock S4 and stock RS4 note?
    and...
are there fitment issues between S4 and RS4 systems?
    and...
could you replicate RS4 sound/intensity with an S4?

    thanks everyone!

The RS4 exhaust will not fit a S4 without some serious modifications. The RS4 Mufflers are bigger, the tips are oval meaning you have to cut your valence and the bends aren't the same.

The difference between the exhaust note is one thing. The 1250RPM advantage the RS4 has!! 8,250RPM Redline!!

You can't really get that high pitch V8 sound from the S4 due to the fact it doesn't rev like a Ferrari. S4's sound more American, RS4 has a more refined Euro sound.

    thanks for the note tude

I get the RPM thing, but I was just referring to the RS4 (and R8) note in general, not above 7000rpm. My 2007 S4 sounds amazing stock, but the RS4 has something special.

you hear them roll through 3000-6000 and they sound so deep and bassy...and good. Would love to hear that everyday.

Maybe I'll just frigging buy one next summer and sell my S4.
