    Re: Local Junk Yards?

do you mean Absolute German Autowrecking on 14th Ave S? I personally have not had really good experiences in the past there. They have a lot of parts and the prices arn't bad IIRC, but on the few occasions where i have purchased parts the customer service I received was really terrible, but maybe i was catching them on bad days or something

I have had a lot of luck at Budget Auto Wrecking in Kent, although they are not a Euro only lot, they tend to usually have a good mix of B5's and MK4 jettas and golfs on hand with tons of good parts. I tend to use them pretty often as everyone there has been more than helpful, and they tend to get quite a bit of new stock rotated in frequently.

    Re: Local Junk Yards?

Go to the PNW forums on VWvortex and ask opinions on Absolute German. They have horrible customer service. One day I was even told that I couldn't borrow a tool, so I could remove a part that I was going to pay them over $100 for.

I'd rather buy from the dealership, than buy from Absolute.

Absolute German was a waste of time.... you can purchase tha parts new on ebay or any other online parts store new for less money including the shipping charges than Absolute German charges after you pull it used... waste of your time and money.

    Sure thing:

    http://budgetautowrecking.biz/

they have two lots, one for trucks in Auburn and one for cars in Kent, both numbers are listed on that site. I have always had good experiences with the people there, and last time i was there (maybe 2-3 weeks ago) there were quite a few B5's, Happy Hunting

    closed on Sundays though

    Re: Local Junk Yards?

check out absolute german, I just called in and they were pretty expensive compared to other shops. for example they wanted 175 for a used rack and pinion when I found one brand new for 200.
I called around and found the same part with less miles on it for 100 shipped.

check your phone book out :D
