In Anyone Else Seeing More Supply At Dealers?

I was at Hoehn the other night and they had four A5's available and two S5's. Good colors, some loaded and some stripped. Anyone else noticing a change?

yes definitely. my local dealer had like 7 A5's and 2 S5's. they said they are getting more aggressive since they were successful, but i wonder if part of it is also that people aren't buying as many cars as before. i'm certainly not complaining though :)

^^There's really no mystery.
Every dealership out here has a few returned R8's on the lots as well, S5's and A5's everywhere. The cars aren't selling too well right now, and others are getting out of their leases.
Aggressive my ass. You can pick an S5 up under invoice like any other Audi right now.

Did anyone here get their A5 or S5 under invoice? In the Seattle area I'm hearing maybe a little off MSRP for an A5 and MSRP for S5. My dealer doesn't have any S5s in stock and incoming are all spoken for. They do have one base A5 in sahara silver that some donkey ordered. They had two R8s that lasted about a week.

Must be in the West Coast, because no surplus of A5/S5's at my local dealer in CT. Just contacted them in regards to the Supercharged V6, cuz I plan on going in that direction instead of the V8 and there still uncertain when its the earliest that will arrive. So now I'm playing the waiting game, hopefully these V6 Supercharged S5 can get in by the Summer time or I just might go V8 if I have to wait much longer...

whilst at my dealership the other day they told me there is no confirmed date for the supercharged v6 in the S5. one guy seemed to think the 2010 model year, meaning it will hit dealerships late next year. another guy, who seemed generally more knowledgeable, said he didn't expect it til the 2011 model year because they wanted to see how the S4 did first.

i've read both in various articles. i think the press release for the S5 cabrio said it would have the 3.0T, but that the coupe would continue with the V8 through the 2010MY.

I still have not seen a S5 under invoice-however, I believe it is only a matter of time.

In the SF Bay Area all dealers have S5 mt or auto cars on the lot.

It only took me one test drive & two emails to get an offer of $2500 under MSRP for a loaded '09 S5; which is still to high IMHO!

If that is their position in this economy on a rapidly depreciating asset....I'd fly to San Francisco & drive home with the S5 & extra money.

I'd laugh every time they service the S5, too!

I was out at Escondido Audi tonight and they had at least 10 A/S5's and three R8's sitting on the floor. Things have come to a grinding halt in terms of sales.
