Is that a 12 second run at 1 teens for a blown vette? Do you have a time slip for that run, because those are numbers for a stock C6.

Well, its a C5, and think about this. the Stock C6 was rated at the Same HP as the C5 Z06.

The driver of that Vette must really suck. The one I built with my roommate (C5: N/A, head + Cam) would have walked all over that.

    I want a time slip.

NTM C5's aren't supposed to drag race, the rear end isn't set up for that. They stress out the rear shafts in a heartbeat. They're great road racing cars though.

You definitely need to get that 60' down. I had my stock 3.0 in the 2.0 60' range.

you cant see in the vid but he spins really bad of the line. i am a mid 12 sec car and the vett. should be a high 10 sec car.

i dont have a time slip anymore becuase this vid is from about 4 months ago just decided to upload it yesterday. but i think i ran a 13.0 and the vett ran a mid 12sec. but if i came out with out bogging it would have been a 12 sec flat pass.

i got a 2.5 60ft and i can usually run like 1.7 60fts thats almost the full sec right there.

It's really funny how the vette did like a 10 sec burnout and wasted half of his gas, then you just calmly went to the starting line! lol

I have a feeling that it's a lot easier to get traction in a stock 3.0 than it is with a 2.0 + BT.

Spinning the tires can still get a good 60 ft time and the OP's bad 60 ft time was because he bogged the car badly.

Hmm, thanks for the explanation then. I know he mentioned he messed up the launch, but I figured making a decent amount of power would make a good 60' a little harder. What do I know about dragging anyways?

like you said the perfect luanch requires just a little spinning to get the car going and also reduce the tress on all drive train parts. if you bog the car you usally are hurting the car more than if you luanch at higher rpms and spinning.
