My Reverse light are stuck on when in drive

my reverse lights are on when i am in drive, they come on then i put it in reverse, but dont go off unless i wiggle the shifter down, what could be wrong 99 a4 TIP

in some cars the neutral safety switch controls the reverse lights. im not sure if it does on these cars but just an idea

magnets came outta place, disassemble the shifter and put them back in their place
