momo auto shift knob install ?'s

I have a Momo AutoBK1 shift knob that I'm planning to istall in my B6 S4. Has anyone installed one in their S4? Do you have pictures? I found the remove install info via an Audizine search, but I'm still usure if there is any issue with the tip shifter engade button being on the top of the knob versus the side?

Please do not exercise the patients. They are currently recovering and need their rest.

FYI, I have that same knob on the way to install in my B6 Tip. I also have the SPP Tip Shift mod hardware. Between the two, something will fit!!

You are correct, Sir! What makes the noun misuse even sadder is I am an RN! LOL

Anyway, since you have both options covered I am going to wait for your input. Thank you your post & any pictures/ insight(s) you may share too.

LOL, great sense of humor. I hope to have my knob next week, and will install it then.

Isn't there an option for the SPP tip mod? Allows you to use any "ball" style knob with the tip?

Re: momo auto shift knob install ?'s

I tried to do mine this weekend. I have the Momo knob and SPP tip mode. But could not get the first step finished-- dropping the sleeve down below the lower part of the knob. Stumped right now, have posted on AW for help.

Re: momo auto shift knob install ?'s

Finally got it in. But the button on the top of the Momo AutoBK knob does not work with the S4 Tip shifter. Had to use the SPP tip mod and now it worls like any shift knob with that mod, just pull up to engage gears. Think I will go with a different knob given that the pushbutton does nothing and the AutoBK knob is taller than I like.

Re: momo auto shift knob install ?'s

I can't for the life of me figure out how to release the collar to remove the shift knob on my Avant. I wanted to rework my shift plate because the original owner of my car had some toy dog that got claw marks all over the shift plate. I figured I'd use some fine black oxide paper to give it a brushed finish. Anything's better than pock marks like it has now.

Re: momo auto shift knob install ?'s

Thanks for the update...I don't want to go the SPP route...so I guess I have a momo paper weight...LOL

    Seriously though...what option(s) will work?
