Hey everyone. over the Xmas break I will be going from Georgia to California... So i need some tips on what to look over on the audi before I go ahead and take my whore interstateable.. I also would like to know if anyone has any tips for driving long distances.. and stuff like that. I have a Cobra Radar detector that works and well at it.

So a little history and some shit about the car .. its k04 turbo upgrade, GIAC chip, FMIC, new TB, just got a 4 wheel alignment 3 weeks ago. Also, new coolant, oil filter/oil, and it has Tein SS coilovers so she sits about 3,4 inches off the ground. The audi has about 144,000 miles on her, and since i have owned it the 2 years (83,200 miles) i have done alot of maint and kept up with her really great!

Sooo here is what I have to check so far.
    Tires, brakes, fluids, and lights.

And I got about 40 monster engergy drinks for the trip, and a bunch of foods.. water.

What else should I check. or any input would be very very greatfull.

Turn down the boost if you are worried about your turbo going or it isn't running 100%. Anyways you seem to have a lot of things taken care of already. You might want to bring a shovel and carpet *or those special mats* (ghetto way) in case you get stuck in snow.

also take a break every 3-4 hours. It doesnt have to be a long break but just get out and walk around the car a couple mins and do some jumping jacks. its enough to keep the blood flowing so you dont doze off... also give you the chance to quickly inspect your tires and clean your windows/mirror if they need it.

currently the NYC to LA record is 31:04 from GA to LA try 29:30 good luck on your trip. I've made 7 trips across the U.S. and my last trip was in a B5 S4 with a dieing, oil leaking turbo, bad O2 sensors and an iffy transmission i made it from NC to WA by way of SO-CAL and didn't break down. Advice take it easy and know your limits if you start to feel tired pull over and power nap it if you keep it around 5 to 9 over the speed limit you probably will not have to much trouble with the law. good luck

I think you will be fine. Just check your tires/fluids/lights/washer fluid/wipers. Basically what everyone else said. Keep that radar on lol. And if your taking any bud, be smart about it haha!
