6 speed Manual Launch Advice

Okay..possibly a stupid question but I will give it a try!

Has anyone got advice on the best way to Launch a 6 Speed manual from standstill without breaking something ?

I am aware the R tronic has a launch control feature built in which holds the revs at 4900 and then goes.Does the same apply to the manual in that you hold the revs and then just dump the clutch?

I am a bit hesitant to try a hard launch from standstill without some good advice.

it will really depend on where you can get a little wheelspin but a good quick launch.. i havent drove a v8 audi to know where their powerband is at.. im sure the guys in the rs4 forum could help you out since they have similar power and drivetrain just different weight bias
