debating sellin the s4 :(

the sad day has come ..... i want to sell my s4 its costing me to much so far ive paid for all my repairs. the thing isi bought one set of k04s after the origianl turbos died one month after i bought the car .... then the k04's blew 1000 miles later and then a rebuild of them and that was the last straw so i think she is gone probably going to go with a bmw m3 1995 plus boost hehe so we will see but for now anyone intersted in a nice nogora blue s4 with sport interior .... and new rebuilt k04/rs6 hybrids? iteriro is good and exteriror is good and is a clean title :)

hmm will do man right now i got my eyes set on one to for 3400 and it has 107k miles on it .. paint is peeling on roof and the steering wheel is torn and the shift nob is missing aswell as the doorcards are peeling but it stil seems like a low price ... and idk about someone else builindg my car for me i wana do the works man rods pistons new low comp hg head bolts port n polish eerything and hopefully make something like ohh idk 6-700rwhp but we will see hopefully the s4 sells but il look into the white one

youre totally wrong! borg-warner journal bearing oem turbos are garbage no wonder they went out in a 1000 miles....
i mean i just got really..really lucky for mine to last 140k miles and 111k miles (and still running) on my 1.8 with proper preventative maintenance

ok first of all i can afford to keep my s4 on the road i just dont feel like having it when it breaks so much ... second of all the k03's just ent out randomly .. i always let them cool for about 2.5 minutes after the car was done .. the k04's went bad and i truely didnt understand why i think it was a borg warner problem .... then the new turbos i have i pulled the engine and installed myself with my father who was employed at porsche braman audi for 23 yrs so trust me the install is good .... i primed and everything .. these new turbos are fine nothings wrong with the car as it is now but i just dont feel like having a car that has so many little problems .. dont get me wrong i love the car but im just tired of it guys..... and as of the 600 whp m3 theres numbers of people who daily drive those kind of m3's over there on there side of the world they have realized that theyre car isnt what it used to be cost wise and everything got cheaper .. unlike the s4 people even build theyre own turbo manifolds and do a damn good job at it to .... i just wana be out of the audi for awhile who knows maybe one day ill come back.... as for tyhe porsche thats a lil high on what i want to spend and i do not like anything but german cars btw for the mustang comment .... oh and everything on the car is cared for .... i use amsoil in it which cost freaking 10 dollars a qt so no i do not misuse and beat my cars it was just an unfortunat series of events that made me go through one set of k03' and one set of k04's and now i have k04/rs6 hybrids so its all good

No! BW builds these turbos to last atleast 70k miles. I dont care how much you abuse your car...70k mile turbos shouldnt blow in 1k miles, even if you ran it hard and instantly cut it off, or didnt let it warm up all the way before boosting. I can pretty much guarantee that it was either install error(but it doesnt sound like it), or it was a poor quality turbo to begin with. BW has had some sketchy quality control lately, so im putting my money on the ladder. In other words, if they were installed correctly then they wouldnt blow in 1k miles unless they were bad to begin with.

Ive seen turbos last for 15k+ miles on dedicated race cars that are abused with high boost(32psi) and high rpm's(10.5k+) for 15-25min at a time. They probably wouldve went longer if the team wouldnt have changed their setup. If they can withstand that kind of beating, then they should be able to take some occasional pulls without breaking a sweat.
