    Re: exhaust options

im not sure about the ac 4.2 but i would assume there is a kit. if not, you can get just the mufflers and have a muffler shop install them. magnaflow mufflers are usually VERY LOUD

    Re: exhaust options

the i would say go miltek even though its extremely expensive. you tube search "b6 s4 milltek" or "b6 S4 magnaflow" the b6 s4 has the same engine and there are way more exhaust videos on the s4 than the a6

think you want remus or borla. not sure if either makes a bolt on kit for your car though.

it does, but i have heard it and its not impressive..your really just putting another cars stock exhaust on so they arnt made to sound beast, but would be an upgrade if you arnt looking for something too loud, but still sporty

Yeah, I'd recommend getting a custom one done.

    THere's also B&B Triflow.

And Stebro (which I have for the back section).

    And, I think, Supersprint.

There's a sound-enhanced version of the RS6 exhaust that is louder than the stock one, and sounds very good. Scarce, though.

You are crazy, the RS6 SE (sound enhanced) exhaust is about the best sounding one you can get, but you can't find them anywhere, very rare.

Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... that's what gets you.

What if I don't do the glasspacks and just go resonator delete and mufflers...how would that sound?

I know every custom exhaust would sound different, but i just want to know if it will probably sound good or terrible

Everyone has seen this I am sure, and I checked on pricing...HOLY SHIT!!! it is expensive, but sounds sick as hell.

Tail pipes alone are $975, so you can imagine the whole set up.

    Re: exhaust options

RS6 SE is the 4.2 mecca. That thing is pure sex. They go locally for $800+used. It truly is a bolt on affair though.

My experience is without resonators or glasspacks....It will be LOUD. Even with just mufflers. I wish I had the video of when I was rolling straight pipes. Man, it sounded sick as hell. It also made you sick with the resonance at 1-2500rpms. Nice thing with custom is you can change it pretty easily and cheaply. The place I go to charges me $20-40 to do something per side. They even test fit mufflers and let me hear the differences and what not. Just find a shop you are comfy with and they will take care of you.
