i searched for awhile but didnt really find anyones input on them. are people having allot of issues with them? what brands are good quality and wont break the bank? i love the look of the crisp white headlights. and if i buy the HID kit, does it come with just the ballest? or with bulbs and everything. if it doesnt what bulbs should i be getting for the whitish headlight look?

    Re: people running HID kits

I take it you are talking about aftermarket kits?

I got a set off ebay for my fog lights and low beams that I have been running for about a 1 1/2 years and had no problems at all the guy i got them from even includes an inline capacitor so you don't get the bulb out warning. I can't remember how much I payed for them but it wasn't a bad price at all. I think the name of the store on ebay was HID Outdoor Equipments

I hate sounding like a broken record

05Audi1.8T, please read this first: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...nversions.html

Then consider buying either a Valeo projector designed for HIDs (eBay) that you can retrofit into your halogen headlight housings, or check the classifieds for a set of E-Code or US spec xenon or bi-xenon housings.

If they don't come with ballasts and bulbs, this is what you want: http://www.hidconcept.com/Kits-valeo-d1s.html
The other option is to get a cheap HID kit, ghetto mod your existing headlights, and become yet another ricer Audi that at night, blends in with the sea of 2fast2furious Civics with annoyingly glaring blue HIDs…
