I would rather get led headlights then angel eye. Angel eye is BMW, now led lights are AUDI. It seem logical

I'd buy a set of LED headlights if a quality set came out; most of what I've seen thus far is DIY stuff that ends up looking cheesy. There was ONE custom set done that I liked, but it still wasn't stock-looking enough to spur motivation within me to find/locate it for reposting.

Hopefully it comes out soon, but for now I'm gonna wait and spend my money on performance mods like chip, intake, exhaust, etc...

Because the car has barely been out on the market and people haven't started to do much R&D for things like headlights yet. And angel eyes aren't rice, they are just BMW's thing. This needs to go to the chatterbox...

they're just strips of LEDs that are wired together. if a bunch of forum members can do it in their garage in a couple of days, some of these guys like um-nitza and depo should have been able to do it years ago.

to tell you the truth I don't really think oem led lights look that great on the a4, much better on the r8. the leds in the fog light opening look ballin though. The led tails would be sick though!

the b8 headlights have a piece of metal that curves up then goes straight and thats what the LEDs go under. it's a completely re-designed headlight thats why the diy's never look the same - not that they look bad

unfortunately a nice design touch by audi is rapidly becoming just as rice as angel eyes. Even though it wasnt the original intent by BMW, once these showed up on 86 civics it was game over. Even better, Ebay offers the best of both worlds! Combo angel eyes and led's. You can get them for 97 preludes, corollas, scions, f150's, 300's. tahoes, cavaliers, cobalts, grand ams, xterras, eclipse, cherokees, neons, etc.

Because they look out of place on our cars. Props to the people with the ingenuity to fab them themselves, but I don't think it looks right with our headlights. If you want LED's, get a B8. It's like putting S4 doorblades on a B5 A4. Nice touch on the B7 body, but a bad move on older models.

LED tails are a different story though.

Now this is something we desperately need.

IMO the bixenon headlights on the B7 look perfect. The major let down is the lighting of the taillights. They could have made the lighting more stylish without using leds, like the b8 taillights. Every time I see an A4 in front of me at night I'm disappointed at the bland '02 civic lighting of the tails. Definitely out of place for the otherwise beautiful A4.
