Last dyno pull with the GT3582r

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Went to the dyno today to see what I am making before pulling the GT3582r out to have it upgraded to the HTA3586r.

Shop owner says the car made less power on the dyno then it would at the track seeing that I use a air-ram intake system for the turbo, but I was more then happy with the results.

LM-1 Log. Way too rich down low.

Correct, but that 10:1 down low makes the turbo spool up slower. Each time I lowered the fuel pressure the turbo spooled up a little quicker causing the tq to come on sooner.

Why didn't you just tweak your tune on the 034 IIc?

HTA3586r is said to spool faster than your current GT3582r and make more power. Reading those compressor maps seemed to work out.

I wasn't there to tune the car, I was just there for 3 free pulls and then pull the turbo off.

The same 110 that has been sitting in my tank since I ran the 10.55 at the IDRC event.

Turbo gets pulled tomorrow and then the car goes to the shop to get a cage done. Turbo will then get shipped out to FP for the HTA upgrade.

btw, it would have been interesting if you kept it going a bit past 8k rpm's. seems like you were sustaining good power up there and tq was at steady decel.

    definatly could have been interesting........

I told the owner of the shop he can go to 8200 and that my rev limiter was 8500, but he said he was just going to stop at 8k. I am sure it might have kept going to about 8200 before it started to fall off.

Here is a video of the 3rd run.

Just talked to my friend Tom with the EVO. Using the same STD setting for his 584 whp pull, mine ends up with 579.06 whp which is what is seen on the video since that is the setting the shop uses.

i am just still at a loss of to why when others post up dyno's you say that they will "never make power past 8k rpms" so they wasted money building their head yadda yadda yadda.

but then when YOU dyno, it's a 180 the other way

First off I didn't tell anyone that building their head was a waste of money. It was about "solid lifters" and the person was running to 9k with just a 3071r at 15psi and was still hitting peak hp at 6500 rpm. Seems you cant even keep the facts straight. Do you see me taking my car to 9K? No because the power falls off and I am running a much larger turbo with a built ported AEB head and a aftermarket intake manifold. Sorry to tell you this but solid lifters isn't going to help keep power from dropping off any more then hydro lifters. So installing them when there is no useable power above 8500 is pointless. Plus its pretty dumb to put solid lifters in a daily drivers seeing that they need to be adjusted often.

Do you see my hp/tq numbers falling like a rock at 8k?

Again you seem to be trying to defend something you have no clue about, but yet then try to attack someone that does. Let me know when you have actually done something to your car to make some real power and do something for this forum other then be some stupid stalker that does nothing but talk shit all day long.

ugh. you are useless for reason man. you are completely missing the point. i wish that thread didn't get deleted so i could post up your quotes.

you were plainly stating that no one with a 1.8t so far (vw or audi) has ever made power past 8k rpms. no matter what turbo they put on the motor. im not talking about that 3076r. that was never the point

yet you just stated the opposite in this very thread. AND you have been claiming to run your car next "season" to 9k rpms.

but then i ask you why you claim this when you can, according to you, not make any power past 8k. you hit the ignore button and refuse to admit you are a hypocritical asshat that does nothing but disagree with everything and anything anyone else does that's new.

im just trying to point that out. as you ruined that good thread and ran off some potential good members to the B6 boards.

and please, use that, "you don't make enough power as me so therfore i know more than you" excuse again. seems that when you are backed into your corner, that's all you have left

im just trying to point that out. as you ruined that good thread and ran off some potential good members to the B6 boards.

and please, use that, "you don't make enough power as me so therfore i know more than you" excuse again. seems that when you are backed into your corner, that's all you have left

LOL, man you are pretty clueless aren't you. I said no one has made peak power beyond 8k. I know plenty of 1.8t's that are being pushed to 9k on hydros but that doesn't mean their power isn't falling off well before that.

I said I might be running my car to 9k when I go to a T4 flanged S366 and woudl be doing it on Hyrdo's not solid lifters seeing that I dont have them and at this point am not going to be spending $3K for a set.

If you think you know so much why dont you start posting all those 1.8t's that are making peak hp beyond 8500 rpm? Dont worry I wont hold my breath on that one.

but then i ask you why you claim this when you can, according to you, not make any power past 8k. you hit the ignore button and refuse to admit you are a hypocritical asshat that does nothing but disagree with everything and anything anyone else does that's new
Please tell me how doing "solid lifters" is new? Maybe it was new some 8 years ago.

Maybe if you take your head out of the frozen ground you would notice that those people actual still post on that thread. Posted just yesterday by the same person. Yeah who is the asshat now.

    Damn, so much hostility.

Can't wait to see the results of an HTA turbo... Somewhere down the line I want to run the HTA30r.

    Psshhhaw.

I made 601+ AWHP with JY9987a.3 turbo on my Radio Flyer back in 1989.

Get back to me when you do something new.
