my drivers side mirror does not auto-dim with the other 2 anymore...

Anyone else experience this or have an idea how to fix it?

    Re: auto dimming mirror problem

i would take out the glass and check the connection, if its good take a multimeter to the wires, should be around 1-3 volts depending on dimming status if I remember right

    Re: auto dimming mirror problem

I took my S4 in for the same issue and the glass was replaced via CPO program. Good thing too, because that glass is quite expensive. My mirror was intermittent and it took a while for the tech to test it and see it fail (shining a flash light over and over).

I dont know if mine has a gremlin or its just the rain and flash freeze we had last 2 days but i parked my car inside the shop i work in last night to thaw it out... next thing i know its working again!

Is it possible the connector froze somehow and thats what caused it to fail?

    Re: auto dimming mirror problem

My mirror was intermittent and took the tech 20-30 minutes to get it to fail. They cited faulty glass, not connections (which would have been a less expensive solution). I would take advantage of your CPO while you can and take it in. Be sure to insist it has failed on you and perhaps share my story as well.
One of the veteran tech's at my dealer even noticed that when the glass would dim, it wasn't as dark as the passenger side.
