of course you can, i dont heat soak whatsoever with my boost hoses from venair (silicone) and ive been able to "hold" a few 27 psi spikes and hold it up about 22 psi steady on those hoses, thats the best bet IMO

    Re: BOOST HOSES (help)

I have APR stage II with test pipe, 91,93,100 and test pipe file, APR complete exhaust, Forge DV, Zero3Zero motor mount, VAST water.meth kit, AWE boost gauge and APR/Carbonio CAI. Based off of the gauge, (no dyno data yet)I spike to 21PSI boost , and through rpm range it falls to 15-17psi. My vacum @7700 feet above sea level was 12 mmhg on the gauge, I have recently moved to 980 ft above sea level and was holding around 16 mmhg. I recently noticed a drop in mmhg to 21 and that the boost would spike to 16 psi and fall to ten psi. I had no idle issue and the PVC was replaced 3000, miles ago. I used a spray bottle to look for leaks, and found none. I then re-tightened all intercooler clamps and clamps in the circle and this fixed the problem a bit. Now I am @ 20 mmhg, and spike to 15psi and hold to 14psi. No loud noises from turbo, and wrote APR. they said check the N75 valve??? Have no clue what and where that is. Still researching it. So I assuming that when under load the hoses may expanded and leak or expand enough in the drop of pressure. Hell I am at a loss.. Thus the post..Thanks for your help, and there will always be those with more boost, so no feelings hurt

    Re: BOOST HOSES (help)

could possibly be the n75. I would replace it. It's 40$ and easy to replace. If that doesn't solve it try running some logs and see what your requested boost is related to actual boost. Also check for timing being pulled in the cylinders throughout the rpm range. If you aren't getting to requested boost, you might want to adjust your wastegate slightly. If those do not fix your problems. Then check the diverted valve make sure everything is properly attached and the the valve itself is clean and free from gunk. If none of that solves it you might want to get a shop to take a look and maybe contact apr with the information. I highly doubt your hoses have anything to do with it. I was holding 18psi for 35k miles with out a problem. I just changed the hoses because I will be spraying. And that will put stress on them. Hope this helps
