Can i beat it?

ok please dont flame me for this.
my friend at school wants to race me after he heard how my car sounded in the low rpms(the sounds of the turbo because of the test pipe).
he has an 06 BMW 328i sedan.
i looked them up and they only have 230 hp
what would the wheel hp be on the bimer?
when i chipped my car and got the test pipe the guy said i would prob have 195-200 whp( im fwd)

who thinks i can take him?

get some injectors and upgrade ur tune to stg 2 and ull be good, if u already have the testpipe i dont see why u dont just get injectors and reflash, then ull take him lol

i think i can but idk how much whp hes putting down.
and im an 02 so i need the TT injectors not the genesis
and the TT injectors are more money.

are you stick and what is he? it will be close... i think the beamer will walk you slightly

pm manguyen, they are $335 shipped i think right now... or there are a few used sets in the classifieds... with 1+ you will walk him but make sure your car isnt heatsoaked

if you have driven a 328 with auto you will know the difference. 328 accelerate very well.

The 328i will win. More power under the curve, larger useable powerband, and more peak power (yes more whp too). You have an advantage in torque but only from about 2500-5000rpm. The K03 has a very small powerband. When I was stage 1 I remember how quick the car felt, but it was deceiving as it's only a quick rush of torque when the boost hits.

It is still a drivers race though...well maybe not since you're both auto.

whp isnt everything... torque, power under the curve, car weight...

just because you have more whp than a lotus elise doesnt mean youll be even close to as fast as it

with my GIAC chiped, FMIC, intake, exhaust, B5 A4 5spd, i beat a 328 on the highway.

the bmw had 4 passangers (including driver)

I had 2 (including me)

race him on the highway around 4th or 5th gear... it will be close but i think u can get em in 4th or 5th gear, he will hurt u from a stop light....good luck and happy motoring.

ive driven in a 328i loaner car and it was surprisingly quick. even my buddy thought so and it was his loaner car for an e60 M5.
i made fun of him for saying that, but still.
