Just wondering how many of you have changed your manual trans fluid or rear diff? The dealer made it sound like these are "lifetime" fluids since they don't include these fluids in any of the service intervals. Basically mine has just turned 130k and have the urge to changes those fluids. What do you guys think? TIA

Im in Maryland, its mild here. Usually never gets too cold for that long. It was in the 20s the other day, but it's supposed to be in the 60s tomorrow

    Re: Fluids

I put redline 75-90 in my rear diff, made it a little quieter.

if you use redline, 75-90 is for rear LSD and open differentials, and 75-90NS is for non LSD rear ends and transmissions.

they also have specialized fluids like MTL for RWD gearboxes and MT-90 for FWD gearboxes. the MT-90 is like the MTL, but designed to properly lubricate a differential aswell.

the main reason i like redline is they have specialized fluids, not just a one size fits all jack of all trades like the other guys.
the B5 S4 is like the mafia... there is only one way out!
