    Re: INtake manifold question

i wouldnt bother getting a manifold for your k04 only to have to possibly change it down the road. If you get an eliminator, you can get like an ATP or something

OEM intake manifold is fine for your power levels... just leave it alone

    Re: INtake manifold question

If you want to upgrade your IM, get a High Flow one. With a k04, you will not see any gains. But if you plan on going BT or BAT, then you will see gains then. So, to get a High Flow Intake Manifold is basically a waste of money at your current stage. But it is a good upgrade for your future build. There are a couple people that have sell them. 034 sells them and a couple other tuners like Dahlback. Or give Mike Hood a PM. He can help you out. http://www.audizine.com/forum/member.php?u=2716

    Re: INtake manifold question

Port it out. Sure it takes some time, but I noticed a difference even on my K03s.

Jim (onemoremile) ported the runner ends out a bit as well, I don't know where his pics are right now. He noted an increase in fuel mileage, which is always a good sign of improvement as well. He's running the K04 as well.

Here's mine. There's a "big" casting lip all around the inside of the throttle body neck, I removed it. I also ported out the throttle body itself. You can upgrade to an OBD2 VR6 TB iirc, and you should be able to notice on the BT, no promises on the K04.

Here's why you want to upgrade the throttle body if you're looking for power, the throttle plate it tiny.

"Thank god I had my body, because it felt so good."
