Last night while driving back to NY from Pa my epc light came on at around 80mph and cut power to car.. Wasn't doing anything out of the norm except there being 5 ppl in the car.. Pulled over turned it off and on and still on, along with rough idle.

    Car is a: 2000 qtm with 95k

Mods: fmic, bov ,apr, 3" test pipe, 3" dp, 2.5" muffler

I have searched.. but nothing is making sense.

Could be the crank sensor ( also known as rpm sensor) took a shit on you. Mine did something similar. I replaced that sensor and everything was fine.

Check your MAF wiring/readings as well if you have a VAG-COM.

if you have a maximum torque limit exceeded code, its from part throttle overboost, cycling the ignition should clear it

    Re: EPC light

So i feel like such an idiot now... I decided to unplug MAF and TB plus the battery to see if that would rest the EPC light... In the process of doing this I noticed the plug going to the TB was not on properly, so I pushed it in and started the car.... Now the damn thing is back to normal...

I waited for a flatbed and missed classes for a loose plug..

On the bright side I didnt have to spend any $$$ to get it fixed..

    Thanx for the help..
