I have one question can i go from my old stereo to the bose stereo??

Do i need a new Harness or need to replace something? i dont really want to upgrade to an aftermarket one because it doesn't look all that good to me so i want to keep it stock?

Yes you can what you will need is. New double din consoles, double din cd player, hvac, ash tray, shifter trim. Search ebay I got my double din console for 99 cents.

that would not be the comparable bose deck....that isnt a b5 a4 picture on the bottom(i know this bc i have what you have and my friend has the bose).....bose headunit doesnt help much unless you have bose speakers......get a pioneer or clarion or infinity deck

i wanted an alpine you know to match the red interior lights but it leaves some gaps that doesn't look right to me lol

Yeah that is a B6 A4 pictured above. But the B5 also has the Symphony (non-Bose) deck pictured above. As previously stated, you just need to get the facelift center console (99.5-01).

wrong. 99.5 console is not double din. If you have 99.5 and want 00+ its a simple swap all plug and play. If you have concert radio older style console its going to be allot of wiring to do.

well i have a 99.5 but i have the concert stereo the one in the top pic

it doesnt leave a gap...there is a covering that goes around the stereo....but it doesnt look bad....IMO

I have an Alpine w/ the flip down screen in my '98 A4, and there are gaps on the end if you don't get the caps to fill them. It looks fine when the face is on the headunit and has the bezel around it with the filler caps.
