Those w/ a Podi boost gauge that beep's on shutdown

Do what Winston wanted us to do in his original thread about the subject and tie to yellow wire (going to the battery) to the red wire (going to the ignition) so both red and yellow are going to the ignition.

This will stop the beeping 100%!!! The only downside to this is that the needle on the gauge will stay were it was once the car is powered off, it will not sweep down to the bottom of the gauge like it usually does

There is no point....if you recall, a few of us w/ Winston's B5 gauge started experiencing an annoying set of beeps emitted from the gauge every time the car was turned off. Winston sent me a replacement gauge, tested it himself before it sent out, and for some reason, the new one ended up beeping just like the old one.

So, long story short, Winston talked to the manufacturers of the gauge and they told him to have use tie the two wires mentioned above together to cut power to the gauge immediately.

And I didn't curse at it, after awhile, I found myself humming the beeping to myself as a way to try and calm myself down

Yes, it's just than when the car is shutoff, since power is cut immediately to the gauge, the needle will remain resting at whatever marking in the gauge.

Once the car is started back up, it will proceed to do it's usual sweep motion, then rest at -20mmHg
