this weekend sucked for me too =/

so i was driving down mission blvd headin to work sat morning, this guy driving a black ford ranger ahead of me slams his brakes for no apparent reason..and my reaction i hit my brakes as well and swerved to the right because the idiot behind me was tailgating and just to my damn bad luck he reacted too late, swerved to the left and connected with the left rear end..and did some pretty bad damage....turned out to be that punk ass kid that hit me was texting when i hit my brakes..which in my head made me only want to kick his ass even more the insurance adjuster is coming out today to give an estimate on damages...here are some pix..the tow truck driver said it might be totalled due to possible frame damage (check the last 2 pics and see how that part is snapped in half) what do you guys think? will it ever be the same car again handling wise? keep it or ditch it?

being that the rear wheel is "turning" and you got metal frame bits snapped, I dont think that its insurance repairable.

That looks like it's just a suspension part that's broken. I'm not saying it doesn't look bad, but the frame may still be OK. You should contact Freddie and see what he has to say.

If your vehicle is repairable I would highly recommend you take it to Brooks Motor Cars. I believe it's the only facility in Northern California that has the Audi of America approval to work on the A8. I've taken all my collision work to them and they have always exceeded my expectations. Their facility is great and clean. They also have an Enterprise Rental across the street to help make things easier.

thanx for the input folks! So update as of now..they looked from outside and said so far its repairable. Tommorow theyre going to get the car on a lift to see whats up. So forsure i'll know if its going to be totalled or not. As of getting another car, the new tt-s would be tittts...but im broke as a joke and im probably going to just stick with the beater 84' mercedes 300SD turbo diesel for a while! imagine takin out a chick in that I got 116,120 miles on the odo so i'm pretty sure im not going to get much back if they total the audi either. If they do totall it maybe ill throw some 22's on the diesel..tint the windows and throw as many subs in the back as possible..HA!

Make sure you put the "22" badge on each side right below the air vents near the wheelwell. Rumor has it, that it adds 30 horse.

Glad to hear everything might pan out about the car though definitely keep us posted.

good news..car isnt totalled, and no frame damage. With parts and repair costs insurance is shelling out 7,750 to repair it! And its going to take around 3-4 weeks to get her back to normal. So my rental car was a dodge caliber, had it for one day, as I left out the driveway this morning i noticed a huge puddle of oil from where I was parked. So i checked the oil in the dipstick and it was bone DRY! dumped in 2 quarts and told enterprise the situation, and they hooked me up with a jeep commander at no extra charge =D

FYI, they're also certified to work on the new TT, it's aluminum as well.
