    The clicking noises is from the check valve in the vacuum line for the n80 valve running to the evap canister, it is supposed to click.

    Unplugging the maf will make it run in open loop and run rich so you should be able to unplug it and drive with it unplugged until you get the harness repaired. I assume it is like a Toyota and the harness can be take apart to reinsert the wires but I have messed with an Audi connector yet.

    Did you connect the wire on the harness when the car was going? You could have short circuited the MAF. The same thing happened to me, as I was installing my Carbonio. I would have the harness looked at by someone who at least understands wiring, before you try to buy a new MAF and install. It may save you some $$$
