I own a 06 C6 3.2 Quattro..When turning the ignition to start. I can let go right away and the ignition will continue and start the car. It takes about 3 seconds. Is that normal? In any car I have ever owned I have had to keep the key turned in start position before it would completely start the car but not in this one. It is consistant and this is my first Audi. I've had it for 4 months and as long as I can remeber this is how it has been. Also I have noticed-the first start of the day takes a little while to start especially when it is cold. A 'WHILE' being 4-5 seconds and even then it doesnt seem to always be consistant on the time it takes for the car to start whether it is the first start of the day or not. I have been told that the new FSI motor they started in '06 has a lot of diesel technology in it. Is that true? If so, does that have anything to do with it?
