    purchasing rims...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I am looking into getting some new footwork: VMR RS4 Reps in Onyx Black (19x8.5). I am far from a car wiz so I was wondering which offset to go with: 38 or 48? Also, I want my rear tires to appear a little wider so what spacers do you recommend? Like I said, don't know too much so would appreciate all the help...

    Thanks,

well if you want your wheels to sit more flush with your fenders, go for the lower offset. the higher the offset the farther in they will sit. as for spacers it depends on how far out you want to go... ET 38 with 5 mm front and 10 mm back would probably look pretty good

    Re: purchasing rims...

with some variance... 19x8.5 wheels with 245/35 rubber will be nearly perfect at ET+35. That being said, get the +38 offset, 3 mm spacers in the front (+35 is SO flush in the front with 8.5/245) and I can't give u a def answer on the rear, since it is pretty flush, but I've always thought I could bring out the rears a couple (2-3) mm [from +35] so for you it would be 3 mm to get to +35, so I would try 5mm to +33 or even 6 (if possible) to +32 since i heard that is good, but never tried myself with spacers.

How would 19x8.5 ET35 with 245/35 all around look?
I'm still waiting on my wheels and i'm curious how they would look.
Do you recommend a 2~3 mm spacer on the rear to look balanced with the front?

    Re: purchasing rims...

He means without spacers. ET35 will sit flush with the fenders. If you want the rears to sit a little further out (which some people like) get a small spacer.

The problem with those small spacers is that you really have to be careful when put them on the car, and put the wheel on the hub. It has to be centered perfectly or you will get vibrations.
