I would think 225/40/18 would be the standard.

Have a look through http://www.tirerack.com if you haven't, invaluable info...such as this:

    Winter Tire Survey/Ratings Chart:

I myself have had good experiences with the Blizzak WS-50 and General Altimax Arctic's (not listed).

fyi thats the exact size I ran last year and it wasn't all that great in the snow due to the with of the tire... but it is your call to decide between look and practicality. good luck

i run 225/40/18 Hankook Ice Bear W300 (i believe they're called) on a set of bbs rxII's for my winter setup. i must say im rather impressed with the setup. i live in northern British Columbia and our winters are pretty extreme up here.. already have over 2 feet of snow, and my car gets around better then most trucks up here??

yeah I dont think a 18" wheel/tire is good for snow personally, not to mention they will get the shit beat out of them from all the crap the DOT's spread all over the roads. Id say find some stockies and get a legit tire. (ive got nitto neo gens they are all seasons but work for me).
    save the 18's for summer!

I ran the Dunlop Winter SP Sport 3Ds last year and they were awesome. I have them on a set of painted stockers (for sale) if you're interested
