Do exhausts (I'm thinking about getting a cat-back) that fit the FWD Tip fit the CVT also? I see lots of stuff for quattro only, or manual only, or tip only, but nothing that indicates whether it fits CVT (although I know there's people with CVT and exhaust).

I'm pretty sure the tiptronic is a CVT

    Re: CVT Exhaust?

there is APR and magnaflow that make it for FWD CVT. but u can be like me and go all custom which is actually cheaper than a full catback. All you need to do is decide wat mufflers u want get the piping and get a test pipe and ur set lol. if u wanna come down to orange county i can show u a good shop

    Re: CVT Exhaust?

Any exhaust for a FWD A4 will fit cars equipped with the cvt transmission. I have been rocking my Milltek for almost 2 years now and Im extremely happy with it. Quiet cruising, loud when I want it to be.

    Re: CVT Exhaust?

Cool, thanks for the replies. I've been trying to decide between exhaust or rims, so that's good info to have!

    Paul,
Not sure where you are in the IE, I am in Lake Elsinore, but I believe Pure Motorsport in Temecula does custom exhaust work. Good luck and be sure to let us know your findings.

I would get coils before wheels, a lowered A4 looks much much better. Get a TP for now.

    Re: CVT Exhaust?

Just picked car up from having the APR exhaust installed. It is much quieter than I expected but has a very nice sound. The gains were noticable and the combination of the Carbonio air box and the exhaust is nice.
