    DIY Battery Removal?? need help asap...

    is there a battery removal diy? i am in the middle of doing mine and noticed there was a bolt on the front below the strut that was holding it in... so i got that undone but i still cant get it out it wiggles but doesnt come totally lose... any ideas would be great thanks

    From what I remember you need to take the bolt out, then the plastic thing that the bolt was going into (There is a little tab that you can lift it out by). Then it comes right out. It has been a while since I did mine though. Hope that helps.

    i cant get the plastic peice out with out taking our the strut is what it seems and i would rather not do that if at all possible i hate messing with those things... and the bolts on one side are stripped too... which makes it impossibel

    there is also a little hose coming out of the side of the oem battery but then new one doesnt have a place for it? does that matter?

    Its a breather hose (If i remember correctly). You don't need to use it with an aftermarket battery. What type are you replacing it with? Did you manage to get the OEM unit out?

    ya i got it out... and i put in a red top... but i noticed that the oem battery was bigger lol so i dunno whats up with that

    does the optima battery drop right in or do you have to fab up a battery hold down for it?
