So guys I have managed to scrounge up about $600 to get myself and my car a chrismas prestent and I could use some opinions on what I should get.

all my current mods are in my sig

    either
HID+ JHM shifter extravaganza shopping spree

    or
A8 brake upgrade w pads stainless lines and new fluid

    or
    H&R f+r sways

    or
try to find a cheap nice set of used rims

or I could do a bunch of little things: shift knob, pedals, maye replace my cheapo 12" MTX subs with one nice 12"

or i'm open to other suggestions

thanks for any opinions in advance

    Re: $600???

I think it depends on what your priorities are.
If you don't really need to stop any faster, then get some nice rims. But if you would like some more stopping power, i say go ahead and get the a8 upgrade and the sways together

I'd go for the A8 brake upgrade with some Hawk HPS pads. I did it on my car and I love it. It's worth every penny.

Another one for sways........since $600 isn't really enough for suspension.

    Re: $600???

Sway bars will be the best bang for the buck. Go with H-sports. You will not be disappointed. If you have leftover money, do the JHM shifter. Stop in up at A&P next week and we can discuss options :-)

Exactly. IIRC I paid $445 for mine through Avalon Motorsports. I had time to shop around though. If you want to give yourself a present under the tree you might need to make a few calls. Then again, the rear sway brackets were on back order when I ordered mine.
Definitely the best investment I made in the car, it's tied for 1st with software.

Take the $100 you have left over and blow it on fuel, go learn how to take some corners after the sway bar install. You'll understand once you do the install.

Nah, Hotchkis H-Sports are the tits.

and BTW, your car is Santorin Blue, not Starion. The Starion is an early DSM. Not sure if you knew that or not.

    Sways for sure.

    Re: $600???

Is there anything wrong with the car right now? Any mechanical issues? I would address those first. I know, boring. A set of rims would be nice afterwards.
