VAG-COM my rns-e?

hi, can anybody do this for me please? my rns-e doesn't track my current position, instead it jumps every 3 minutes to locations that i've been to. i bought a rns-e plus and need it coded for my b7 please. im in brooklyn,ny if anybody has access to it. i will compensate for your time. thank you :D

I have a VAG in Northern NJ if you want to drive a little.

From the sound of your post though it seems you arent getting very many satellites. Do you have the antenna under the dash or you running to the sharkfin?

hi joey, thanks for replying. im getting about 4 satellites i believe and the antenna is placed behind the speedometer. i thought that it was gonna be an easy plug and play install. i also lost the steering wheel control functions, the unit shuts off after exactly 30 minutes, the buttons under the monitor does not light up either. the only time it did track me was when i drove for over 3 miles... i was so excited to see it actually follow the route that i was on. later that evening, i got back into my car and the nightmare started all over again.

hmm... very weird... What version of SW is the unit currently running? Doesnt sound like its the antenna anymore if your having issues with the unit as well.

Sounds to me as if the speed signal is not received by the RNS-E or the tire size (channel 1) or pulse (channel 2) are set incorrectly.
