What do you think is a good price to match my lowers to my Ming blue Pearl Effect top on my B6?
    Where should I go. Thanks

    DIY ! DIY !

    http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=229565 <----DIY
http://www.brandsport.com/plik-5200-ly9b.html <-----Paint (thats LY9B aka brilliant black, but search your color code and it'll come up. This is the cheapest site i've found with color-code matching paint and its in an aerosol can.)

A little prep, some time, and a straight head can get your job done for very cheap. I was recently quoted $1600 and $1300 at 2 different places for my lowers, but maybe thats just because I live in Westchester NY, I really don't know. If I heard $300 or $600 up here where I live I would have done it, but now I'm just DIYing soon. Good luck.

Re: Need to Paint My Lowers

I'm planning on attempting a DIY this coming spring to paint my lowers. Considering my car is black, it'll be nearly impossible to not match up the color. Just make sure you do your research and prep is definitely the most important part of painting it on your own. Ming Blue may be a little harder to match the color, but if you go to the proper place they can match the color up for you and produce it in aerosol cans. Even if you fuck it up, the worst that could happen is you take it to a professional to fix it for you.

You can also DIY for under 100 bucks.

    - 800/1200/2000 Grit sandpaper (less than 20 bucks)
    - primer.
    - if you can get matching color paint sprayer.
    - clear coat

    that's it.

I DIY-paint my front bumper this summer and it looks great.
    (had some serious scratch)

Going to DIY-paint my lowers next summer as now the temperture is too cold to do.
