Exclamation Low oil light on for the 5th time in 30k km. Normal?

So, as the title states, on my 2007 A4 2.0t, the low oil light has come on again. This is the 5th time (my car has only 30,000 km on it) the low oil light has come on. All scheduled maintenances were done on time at 8,000km and 25,000km. (realize that since 25,000 there has been less than 5,000km done on the car)

I always park in the same place and have noticed no oil leaks on the floor, so I do not think that it's leaking...

The oil is always Castrol Synthetic 5w40 as the dealer recommends and I always use 91 octane. (The highest octane you can find in Montreal... :@)

Every time I question the dealer about this, they say it's normal that the low oil light comes on every once in a while... Should I be concerned or just fill up the oil again?

    Thanks!
    Shawn (living in Montreal, Canada)

have you been watching the oil consumption on the dipstick? i heard some motors tend to consume oil because of the fsi system, but the consumption cuts down as the car gets more miles on it. i'm at 47k miles and before my oil change at 45k, i had consumed way less than a quart in 5k miles. i think the rule of thumb is one quart per 1000 miles is fine.

One quart per 1000 miles? Don't they only put in 5 quarts when they completely change the oil!?

Is it normal to burn one quart of oil every 5000km??? (3000mi)

I remember reading about this a LOT in the A3 forums @ audiforums (before when i was still considering buying an A3). I believe our turbos also burn some oil and it is not abnormal (at least for A3's) to consume oil quicker than your usual 10k mile maintenance. 10k miles is a long time to run motor oil and it will burn. Just keep an eye out and I would highly recommend checking your dipstick and refilling any oil. Oil is blood to our cars.
