Who has the Avic D3?

Thinking about putting in an Avic D3 this winter, just wondering who has them, what you think, and how was the install? Pics would be great.

One last thing, Are you guys using the metra dash kits? How is the fitment with those and can you provide me with a like as to which kit you bought?

I helped put a d3 into a buddies 01 a4 last winter. It looks at home in the dash and the Metra install kit was used. Only thing I wish could be changed is the d3, even with the outside ring on it, seems to sit a tad bit below the metra kit. it doesnt sit 100% flush. it might be something you could shim or fix, we didnt really mess with it other then the install.

I have a d3 with the metra dash kit from ebay had mine professionally installed and I love it!. Fitment is pretty good will post pics when I get home from work!

go with the avic f700bt or 900bt. It's alot better unit and has better features for cheaper.

Id say go for the D3!

Dunno why they came out small but if you click on the pics they get bigger!
